Course Structure

● The principles underpinning digital technologies in education
● Key considerations around digital technologies
● Technology-enhanced teaching
● Technology-enhanced learning
● Technology-enhanced assessment
The objectives of this course are to:
● Develop an understanding of the principles underpinning effective use of digital technologies, including constructivist theory, digital literacies, planning for digital learning and supporting peers
● Identify and evaluate key considerations in the deployment of digital technologies, including digital safety, copyright and data protection
● Develop an understanding of Puentedura’s SAMR model and how to measure participants’ own digital technology use against it
● Develop an understanding of some strategies and digital tools that can enhance teaching, learning and assessment
● Critically reflect on these strategies and digital tools and plan for their use in participants’ own teaching
